Booking / Price
The room rate includes à la carte breakfast and VAT.
You can also enjoy the following complimentary services for a carefree stay:

To reduce waste, we do not provide disposable slippers.
Should you not have your own bath shoes, reusable flip-flops are available at reception for CHF 7.– per pair.

Yes – children up to 5 years of age stay free of charge, including breakfast.
Many rooms are equipped with a sofa bed for one or two additional guests.
Please note: The Attika Suites on the 5th floor are designed for two persons only.

Yes, of course – we are happy to provide a baby cot free of charge upon request.
Please let us know at the time of booking so we can arrange it in advance.
Dogs are very welcome and permitted in all room categories.
Please note that pets are not allowed in the restaurant, indoor pool and wellness area.
The additional charge is CHF 25.– per dog and night (excluding food).
We kindly ask you to notify us at the time of booking if you are travelling with a dog.
Arrival / Departure
The Sunstar Hotel Brissago is well connected to the public transport network – easily reachable by train, bus or boat.
By train:
From Locarno, take Bus 316 (approx. 20 minutes) to the stop “Brissago Municipio” (request stop). From there, it’s a 2-minute walk to the hotel.
By boat:
A scenic and relaxing alternative is the boat ride from Locarno NLM (duration: 55–80 minutes) to “Brissago NLM”. The hotel is just a 2-minute walk from the landing stage.
The Ticino Ticket allows you to travel free of charge on all public transport throughout the canton of Ticino during your stay.
You’ll also benefit from discounts on mountain railways, boat trips on the Swiss lakes and many regional attractions.
You will receive your ticket upon arrival at the hotel. It is valid from check-in until midnight on the day of departure.

We’ll be happy to arrange a taxi transfer from Locarno train station to the hotel upon request.
Please let us know your arrival time by the day before at the latest.

Sunstar Hotel Brissago offers a limited number of free outdoor parking spaces (subject to availability) and underground garage spaces for CHF 16 per night. A reservation is required for the garage.
There are four charging stations for electric vehicles:
- Two in the garage – only usable with a reserved parking space
- Two on the outdoor car park – not reservable, subject to availability
Additionally, you’ll find public blue-zone parking (with parking disc) near the hotel.
Your room is guaranteed to be ready from 4 pm on the day of arrival.
Should you arrive earlier, you are very welcome:
You can store your luggage with us and explore the area with your Ticino Ticket.
Early check-in depends on availability. Please let us know your expected arrival time, and we’ll do our best to prepare your room as soon as possible.
Of course – we are happy to store your luggage free of charge, whether you arrive early or leave later in the day.

Instead, you can choose from a refined selection of seasonal and regional dishes, tailored to your personal taste – for a flexible and flavourful dining experience.

Location / Infrastructure
Are there charging stations for electric vehicles?
Yes – we offer a total of four EV charging stations:
- Two in the underground garage (only usable with a reserved parking space)
- Two in the outdoor car park (non-reservable, subject to availability)
Charging is subject to a fee. A garage parking space costs CHF 16 per night and car.
The Lago Maggiore and its picturesque promenade are just a few steps away from the hotel.
Guests also enjoy access to a private lake lounge – a wooden platform of approx. 15 m² with direct access to the water.

Yes – our hotel has a lift providing access to all five floors.
Yes – all guest rooms are air-conditioned to ensure a comfortable stay, even during the warmer months.
